Problem w/ wifi on SDA

I am very sorry but i think some of you heard these kind of problems million times but i just got a T-mobile SDA and im lovin it but there is one thing that i do not understand and ib bugs me.

Well i want to use the WIFI on it to access web via the router and every time i try to log on it shows me thats its connected but when i go on the internet explorer it said a alert message shows

Error

You internet connection is not configured properly. Please verify you settins in data connections

i dont know how i need to set it up i have no idea where data connections are if someone can help me out it would be great thank you very much guys

You need to unlock your device. The T-mobile rom is old anyways. I got my device today and first thing I did was upgrade to Qtek 2.0.9.0 rom... which is wrong. Dont do that. lol ... upgrade to imate 2.6.332.1 or something like that. Then you get AKU2 as well. It would be unlocked too. It also gets rid of some Tmobile junk, which save you some previous KBs.

Sorry I press wrong button guys. I was going to edit it. Now I cant delete this one. Anyways, if you insist on using the T-mobile rom, you can easily unlock with spv-service tools found on spv-developers. Google it.

Why would you need to unlock your device to get wifi to work?
