Dodgy RHS soft button

I really have to press my rhs soft button hard for it to work, i have stripped the phone down and cleaned it, the button under the actual keypad has a distinct clicky feel to it when pressed, when i re-assembled the phone - the key was no better, has anyone else had this problem and resovled it?
