Silent profile is not so silent

Hello,

I have just bought a Samsung SGH-i300, my first WM smartphone!

I have a simple question: I've set a "silent" sound profile, with all sounds set to non active but even when I select that profile:

- it plays sounds on startup and shutdown

- it plays an annoying beep when I start a call

- it plays a sound when a call ends

Is there a way to make it absolutely silent?

This is based off my 2125. To change the Call Start beep, I went to HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dialing

Changed the Value Data to *none*

Shutdown and system start should also be under sounds. Only touch the registry if your comfortable with it. Make sure you back it up too.

Have it to leave the space blank or to write "none" in it? sorry for the stupid question

if you tap the pwr button it brings up a list of options silent is one of them is silent. if you pick options from their you can change the profile.

I've got also question.. Where can I turn off the "Call Ending" Sound ?

It really annoys, especially when everything is silent around you.. Hope someone can help me..
