Guest Snoopstah Posted August 25, 2006 Report Posted August 25, 2006 (edited) Here's an unlikely one! I have an obscure problem with WiFi on my Vario II, which in short means that if I set it up to access a LEAP-encrypted network, it refuses to connect to any (LEAP or non-LEAP) WiFi network except directly after a soft-reset. It will then work fine until I switch off the phone and back on again, whereupon it will again fail to connect to any network. As soon as I remove the LEAP network, functionality is restored. Obviously this is highly likely to be an issue with the HTC wireless manager or wireless driver level, but HTC are refusing to help due to it being a Vario II, and using the 'the ROMs are different' getout. I see their point, but I would have hoped they would have at least added the problem to their database, whereas instead they seem to have seen 'Vario II' in the e-mail and fired back a standard response. Is there anyone in T-Mobile that it's worth actually reporting this to? It's obviously entirely useless reporting it to customer services, because a) they wouldn't have a clue what I was talking about, and b) it would never reach anyone who did know what I was talking about. So is there another department that I can report this to, such as whoever develops the custom ROMs? Hopefully they'd at least report it to HTC and maybe it'll be fixed in some future ROM level eventually... Thoughts? Edited August 25, 2006 by Snoopstah
