Qtek 8310 Rom on T-mobile SDA Hard-keys

I updated my ROM to the newest Qtek rom with AKU 2.0 perfectly but now, I cant use my music keys and the IE key goes to contacts. How do I change the model's name in system information, and remap the keys back to IE and music? Also, can I change the boot screen to something else other than Qtek? Thanks in advance!

OK, you've upgraded using the wrong rom :D

download the i-mate SP5m ROM (i-mate_SP5m_WWE_2.6.331.2.zip) from HERE and flash that to your phone. you may have to CID unlock your phone by using the SPV_Services tool you can find by searching on google.

To change your splash screen, you can either install a MoDaCo one from HERE or follow my instructions relating to typhoonnbftools further down the topic :D

yeah. all the 2.5 or 2.6 versions have aku2 :D

If you like the qtek rom, you can download the qtek 8300 rom which already supports the music and ie keys. You can find it here. It's newer than the imate rom, and fixes some joystick issues, but both roms are fine.

Hate to tell you but your phone is OFFICIALLY dead. No ammount of ROM buggery will bring it back. The device in question in the topic was the Tmobile SDA from the USA which is a completely different reference platform from the SDA II in Europe. as a result if you have insurance on your phone i recommend you claim on it :D either that or you can contact HTC Europe via the website HERE or by phone or email (also detailed on the site) and they will be able to repair it for

u gotta check first what phone equals the SDA... still you can regedit any tornado rom to have those keys and wifi, in the case of the 2125 and the c600

You will NOT be able to recover this via a ROM upgrade. They require a working bootloader and yours is corrupted from the bad rom update you performed.

I repeat again, there is NO way back to the land of the living! Your 'phone' is now effectively a very expensive paper weight!

You will need it to be sent back to HTC or get a replacement.

Also requesting ROM's in against the forum rules but given your situation i think we will waiver that as it wont work anyway :D
