import sound for sms alert

I have searched and cant find a previous on this topic. I have imported 2 sound files into Storage\Application Data\Sounds and have used one for a ring tone and it works fine, but I want to use the other as an new SMS message alert and it wont show up in the list for selection. It seems as though the program only allows for importing a ring tone is this correct or am I missing something? :D

you don't say which format your sounds are in. message alerts must be wavs and not mp3s

You can try setting the MP3 as your alert sound with RJV Tonesetter:

I was able to set a WMA as my alarm that way, when it usually only allows WAV -- maybe this'll let you use MP3s, too.
