Guest robdablob Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 :D i posted a couple of days ago about missing music/video files that were sent to my spv c550 via bluetooth. with no replies, i thought i'd try a different approach... does anybody know of a FREE or trial app or something else that allows you to choose where to save incoming bluetooth files?? thanks for any help :D
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 Try this app out http://www.smartphone.si/sniper/ I've not tried Sniper myself but a lot of other people use it.
Guest Monolithix (MVP) Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 I missed your previous post, and i have heard of this behaviour on the C550 before. Check you have the available space for the file on your handset, bearing in mind you only have about 16MB after a hard reset, and thats quickly eaten up with day to day use. If that doesnt work, you may have to try a hard reset. If _that_ doesnt work, look and see if the C550 has any ROM updates available (cant remember if Orange ever did release any sorry!).
Guest robdablob Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 (edited) thanks guys am just trying that sniper now but if it doesn't help monolithix do you know where i can find these rom updates? ive never heard of them before so im not sure where to start Edited August 26, 2006 by robdablob
Guest Monolithix (MVP) Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 After a quick look around it seems there havent been any! Either way - it seems sniper will sort your problems :D

Guest iforevans Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 heh heh good old sniper to save the day! You should also try out the bluejacking feature mate its great Thanks mate, glad you like Sniper. Was a lot of fun building it :D BTW new version just released! The latest version of Sniper contains significant improvements over the earlier versions. The new Sniper is faster and more robust than previous versions, it can send and receive large files that are only imited in size by the capacity of the storage card. It now displays progress bars whilst both sending and receiving, handles unresponsive target devices much more elegantly and has auto accept/reject options. The BlueJacking features are greatly enhanced and easier to access and finally it has much-improved graphics for a bright new 'look and feel' *GET SNIPER HERE* ...Ifor
