Guest hollinshead Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 Hi, Has anyone managed to register on www.myqtek.com? I'm trying to register, and when I put the IMEI number for my 8500 in, it gives the error "Not a valid IMEI# (only Brightpoint authorized original products are supported by this site. Contact your place of purchase for ongoing support of your device)". I'm rather puzzled now!
Guest Fredde87 Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 (edited) There are two suppliers of the qtek 8500, one of them is brightpoint the other is danguard. You cant register none brightpoint sold devices on brightpoints site (myqtek.com). You have to find danguards site (I dont know the address, sorry). Edited August 26, 2006 by Fredde87
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 From what I understand Danguard devices get registered at the official qtek site which is www.qtekcorp.com

Please try again. Thank you." Edited August 26, 2006 by hollinshead
Guest Fredde87 Posted August 27, 2006 Report Posted August 27, 2006 sure it is a qtek and not a dopod/imate?
Guest hollinshead Posted August 27, 2006 Report Posted August 27, 2006 sure it is a qtek and not a dopod/imate? Yep, its deff a Qtek. I bought it from Expansys
Guest halljames Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 Me too. I have tried to register on qtek as well as well as myqtek and none of it works. Whats going on?
Guest Isobuster Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 You can't register an dangaard phone. Its made - i think - by your reseller...
Guest halljames Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 I really dont know why they have made it difficult. My phone is a Qtek 8500, in Qtek packaging, with the www.qtekcorp.com web site address plastered all over the box, so why can't I go to the Qtekcorp web site and register, it just doesn't make sense.

If you want to look at the topic: http://www.expansys.it/forum.asp?code=133792 you can see the "personal war" I'm fighting with Expansys on this matter.... As I can think, the most we are, the most are the possibilities of winning... Bye
Guest jcp Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 same problem... unable to register at myqtek (fyi, I've bought my Qtek 8500 in France. Sounds odd!
