Guest garay Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 Last night I bought the Motorola HT820 Bluetooth stereo headphones and paired it with my Audiovox SMT5600 smartphone. The HT820 works fine as a telephone headset but not as a music headphones of Windows Media Player -- music plays for about five (5) seconds on the headphones before reverting back to the speakerphone of the SMT5600. How do I fix this? I plan to keep the SMT5600 for a bit longer before moving to a smartphone with real stereo music capabilities, like the Motorola Q phone. In the mean time, I will pair the HT820 to the SMT5600 and to other devices. Thanks. Greetings from Chicago, --- Ed Garay, University of Illinois at Chicago
Guest Monolithix (MVP) Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 As far as i know the Q is the only Smartphone handset that supports A2DP, which allows stereo music over BT, so theres no way to add support to your SMT5600 i'm afraid!
Guest mini_man Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 Nope! any device that has been updated with an AKU2 rom can have the a2dp patch added on. Got it running on my c600 works great(ish). But although your smt5600 recognises your headphones as a headset you can still get music through it! Download bluetunes and activate it then connect your headphones too your smartphone! Its mono not stereo but its still music in both ears. Sam
