Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 Has anyone tried this yet to under / overclock their device? http://www.antontomov.com/products/pocket_hack_master.php I'm thinking there has to be a potential for battery saving here... performance BOOST probably not necessary :D It supports the processor in the Hermes, other than that, not had a play myself yet! Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 Update: Looks like the new version, Pocket Hack Master 4, is imminent (any day now!) http://www.antontomov.com/web/index.php :D P
Guest Confused Stu Posted August 27, 2006 Report Posted August 27, 2006 I've used this before to hack my M500. It worked fine for changing the 416Mhz processor up to 468Mhz and even a 700ish wokred fine for a while. I didn't use it all the time because I was worried about battery and component life and I only used it to impress techy mates down the pub! Made Benchmark in TCPMP go much faster though!! Haven't tried it on my Vario 2 yet - still too new to kill it!
Guest simonclark123 Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Hi Stu Am hoping you may be able to help here. Like you I had the M500 before the Vario 2. I have to scroll through .pdf documents a lot and the Vario 2 just doubles up the text as I try to scroll - the M500 never did this and seemed much faster. I don't need the keyboard, so am now looking at the Trinity instead, but suspect I may have the same issues. Any idea why the 400mHz Samsung processor should be responding so much slower than the TI 416mHz processor? Many thanks for any help you can give. Regards Simon Clark Business Telecoms
