Guest The Doctor Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 Ok, i broke my charger :D well, not completely, just bent the mini usb plug and all the gold pins on the inside have fallen out. and i've got a spare mini usb cable lying around at home so i thought i'd take the mini usb plug off the one and attach it to the other, problem being i dont know what the wiring config is for the standar mini usb is. ie. i dont know what colour goes where. i do however know where i need the original wires to go. so in short: if anybody could provide me with the wiring configuration of a mini usb plug showing me what colour wires go where i would be most grateful :D Phil

Guest scudo Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 if anybody could provide me with the wiring configuration of a mini usb plug showing me what colour wires go where i would be most grateful :D Hi Phil check this page, it's the standard usb wiring : http://www.usb.org/developers/docs/ecn1.pdf normaly they are only 2 wires used, 1 & 4 for charging (+5V or Vbus and GND) (see pages 16 & 6-7 of pdf) happy soldering :D
