im using an imate sp5.i started using a 1gb sd card.im having problems.

-the storage card is not read completely.sometimes all the programs can be accessed ,sometimes it cannot and shows the the application is not found.so i have to reset it every time.

-the windows media player cannot access the card when i click on update palyer.

is this a problem with the sd card.or is sp5 not compatible with a 1gb extension.

You can use 1 or even 2gb mini SD with your SP5. if you have problems with the card, try format it from a computer... or maybe the card is damaged.

it should work fine. i just got a 2gb the other week and formated it in FAT32 format. it worked fine. with my 1gb i bought strait from cosco and put it in without formating it. did u buy a used one or new?

my sd card is brand new.

i dont have the problem of storage card folders being created.

i tried formatting.

my card works fine as long as i have <= 300mb of card space being used.when putting more data at around 300 to 450mb most probably it gives an error msg and i cant use the card because the problem i mentioned above starts(i.e some progms can be accessesd while others cannot be & sometimes are missing,some of the mp3s while trying to play give error).

if i try deleting using explorer or active sync it shows a error msg.the folder will be missing after i delete but the system memory remains the same.

the problem is only with card.if i use my old 128mb card it works fine.

are your phone is update to last rom ?
