Remote control MUSIC READ!

Hey guys,

One day i was sitting on my bed talking 2 this hot girl playing slow music outa my laptop that was across the room. We were just about to get down and dirty when my this really s*** song came started playing and i had 2 get up from under here to change it. by the time i got bak i knew it was all over.

I relaised that the s*** thing about a laptop or desktop computer when used to play music is the fact that there is no remote available. I realsied that the one thing that i always have near me is my mobile phone (i-mate SP5) and with my hardcore coding skills i could just use that :D i already have a working prototype that is able to control a few basic functions in Windows Media Player. The system works by running a small tranparent app on the computer and connecting via IR, bluetooth (requires ActiveSync) or WIFI so no direct line of sight is needed & you can be anywhere in the house. The main advantage of my technique is that it can control any media player available (just let me know the name)

Since there are really no other apps that i have found that work the same way i am interested in knowing how many people would be interested in this application?? If interest is good i will be posting a beta version and incorporating any feedback i receive allowing you to essentially customize this app to the way YOU want.

Does it have a tracklist on screen? if not then its like jeyo remote but wifi would be a great touch for others.

1) This is a how-to, not an app

2) Costs money plus has a s*** interface

3) Most expensive. activesync dependant and cant use wifi + gprs

4) Only controls WMP and must have it running in a small window within the app. I want the pc app to be transparent.

Im talking about a free app that can do all of this. I just need you guys to give suggestions so that i can make the best app possible while maintaining its simplicity.

Plus i found another use for it!!! when you are in a game u can change the song without alt+tabbing lol.

The ideal app for me would be Winamp controls + remote jump to file dialog with enqueue support.

I don't think it would be that hard to code, there is ActiveWinamp which exposes a lot of Winamp functionality through COM / ActiveX. The download includes sample C++/.net files.
