Guest blade-jac Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 OK Just had my number ported to my new Vario II, however when i go into settings and click on phone it still shows my old number at the top. Should this change on its own? or is it permanent to sim card or something.. cheers
Guest blade-jac Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 Sorry should have been more patient... sorted The solution was: \contacts \ sim manager \ list of own numbers then edit line one and restart the phone ! Sorted

Sorted This doesn't seem to work on my M3100, I can see the list, including my old number at line 1, but I can't edit it or delete it no matter where or how I click. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Guest Lordwibble Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 From memory it's off the left softkey menu. The left softkey says 'edit' and the right says 'menu' under menu there is 'erase' & 'refresh', but clicking edit or erase does nothing!!!! :)
Guest jchamier Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 The left softkey says 'edit' and the right says 'menu' under menu there is 'erase' & 'refresh', but clicking edit or erase does nothing!!!! :) Its possibly the Orange software in your M3100, or its the Orange SIM. I've seen (years ago) Nokia handsets that could not edit the number on an Orange SIM, but had no problem with other networks.
Guest richard_d Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 I've just double checked on my Vario II and it's: Start, Contacts, SIM Manager, Menu (right softkey), Tools, List of Own numbers, Edit (with Line1 selected).

Thanks! when I ported my number over, the number at the top of the screen updated on its own when the next QoS update after the port was finished rolled out over the network. In short, just wait - a day, tops. Doesn't affect your connectivity or access in any way, it's purely aesthetic.
