Guest igorma Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 Is anyone interested in big alarm&timer clock plugin, for use with utilitarian background? I wrote it for my qtek some time ago since I wasn't satisfied with existing clocks - their waste of precious space and lack of short timer. Now I'm thinking of adding some some XML customization and sharing it here - if there are people who also prefer practical to pretty. It's a selectable digital clock which displays time in big digits, date, day of week, alarm time (click brings up Oxios Alarm) and a short timer (left-right to set it). Example homescreen:
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 Welcome to the forum. Nice first post there. If it is alright with you, maybe you can attach the file/installer here so interested parties may give it a try. :D
Guest igorma Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 Here's the installer... I didn't attach it before because it's not customizable - which means fixed height and colors. Also, click (action) is hard-coded to run Oxios Alarms (click will do nothing if you don't have it). Thirdly, it tries to use Arial font, so it's better to have it installed... but Nina will also work. If anyone's interested in this plugin, I can add XML customization.imaclock.ARM.CAB
Guest igorma Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 Here's the installer... Example homescreen is "ImaClock", "Test.home.xml"
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted September 3, 2006 Report Posted September 3, 2006 Thank you for the file attachment. Check my phone screenshot Here are my suggestions/ inputs: 1. Can we customize the colors? I haven't tinkered with the XML. I find the color of other plugins (Profile, Calendar etc) too bright. 2. As for the date format, can we have this style: Sep.09 instead of 3.09 ? 3. Would it be possible to launch other alarm program? Thanks again for sharing your plugin with us. More power to developers. :D
Guest illi Posted September 3, 2006 Report Posted September 3, 2006 I would prefer the clock on the taskbar. Any way of doing that on WM5 Dopod 577w? Thanks
Guest igorma Posted September 3, 2006 Report Posted September 3, 2006 I added XML customization and posted plugin to freeware downloads. It should show up there soon. You can now change alarm application and date format in XML (it's really easy), and fonts-colors too of course. Als default homescreen now looks just like on my screenshot.
Guest igorma Posted September 3, 2006 Report Posted September 3, 2006 I would prefer the clock on the taskbar. Any way of doing that on WM5 Dopod 577w? It is possible, but I'm the wrong man to ask this... The whole idea behind my plugin is to have big, readable and functional clock - which won't fit in taskbar.
Guest igorma Posted September 3, 2006 Report Posted September 3, 2006 Thank you for the file attachment. Check my phone screenshot Also, looking at your homescreen, time is written in Nina (default) font. This font doesn't look very good in large size - so if you can install new fonts (simply copying it into storage\windows\fonts may be enough), use Arial or something like it.
Guest igorma Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 Well, submitting plugins doesn't seem to work... Either the script is down or admins are taking some days away from this forum. So I'll post it here. Use homescreen XML to change colors and alarms application, and don't miss new 'note time' feature - on first 'right' press.imaclock.ARM.CAB
