Guest sparks1061 Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 Hi, has anyone actually got this working? I installed it ok, and it runs and logs me on, but then locks my phone completely and I have to soft reboot to sort things, Haven't contacted their helpdesk yet, thought I'd check if it's just me or are others having this problem.
Guest Scarfman007 Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 So, it's out ... does it offer any advantages over the built-in MSN client? This is other than the fact that you can use it across different networks (not a concern for me), the online/offline messaging and client side logging. Major concern for me is of bandwidth usage - will all clients that connect to the MSN network (so far this and MSN messenger, as far as I can see?) use the same amount of bandwidth, due to the fact that they all use the same communications protocol? I assume it doesn't support file transfer? Are there any cases in which MSN messenger is better than JabberCE? Sorry for all the questions, I just want to know if it'd be worth me buying it for use only on the MSN network. Cheers, Chris
