Guest NikLP Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 Thanks for those links - the ebay one looks neater, so time to hit the credit card. Could we pool some cash and buy in bulk and save on postage? Also, "I s'pose a dock's outta the question?" :D
Guest goestoeleven Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 (edited) I bought this dock from eXpansys, and I can tell you it is a big disappointment. It lacks two key features I've had in every previous PPC cradle to date: - external AC power (without it, if you shut of your computer, you shut off charging) - spare battery charger slot I recommend STAYING AWAY until these two features get added by somebody.... Frankly I'm still amazed / annoyed that HTC isn't offering their own cradle as an official accessory. Don't even get me started on the fact that they pulled it out of the standard included accessories, but why not try to make a couple extra bucks by selling them separately? It is a great pity that Brando will not be producing a music dock as they did for the k-Jam variants - it was excellent and I reckon they would sell.

Not available yet, but this cradle looks ideal: i-mate JASJAM Desktop USB Cradle with 2nd Battery Charger EDIT: Or there is this one too which "includes AC power input" : Proporta USB Sync-Charge Cradle (HTC TyTN Series) Edited September 5, 2006 by sleepyhead
Guest richard_d Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 Well the round type (ebay) dock arrived. It's pretty basic - it's got a blue led to show it's connected to the PC , but does hold the phone at a nice angle. There is a blocked off power socket, but I don't think I want to risk attaching anything to it! Richard
Guest cedmondson Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 I'd ordered this from expansys but as their expected delivery slipped from 3 days when I ordered to 12 some 10 days later, I cancelled and ordered from Brando. Order placed on Monday - delivered Friday. Not bad for a P&P charge of approx
Guest Dade Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 I've got one of the Brando docking cradles and they are the nuts, especially when you consider that they are only about
