Guest gingerprince Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 I have my Pocket Outlook syncing with my IMAP server every 15 minutes. If I get a mail in my inbox, I get a notification (ie sound/popup) and the today screen reflects this. However I also sync several subfolders of Inbox, and want these to notify me too. Is this possible? At the moment the only way I know about mails in these folders is to scroll through them to look for (1) etc.
Guest jimbouk Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 I am afraid WM5 does not offer a subfolder new mail notification.
Guest timiano Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 Most mail should be delivered to Inbox and not subfolders, unless using something like a transport event sink like in Exchange. If it stays there long enough, you'll get the alert. I assume that you have either server/client side rules that move mail items on delivery. Pocket Outlook will never be aware that the mail ever was in the Inbox. Your options are: 1) Manually move mails 2) Configure rule as client side and don't leave client on while mobile 3) Configure rule as client side and run manually Fingers crossed notification will work on subfolders in future versions of Pocket Outlook. I'd be tempted to go for option 3. Tim
Guest timiano Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 A further question for any one reading to pick up. Is there a way to enable notification for new mails if the Pocket Outlook application is left as the active window? I seem to be checking a few mails, but may put the phone down with Outlook still the active window, and unfortunately no notification is received. Seems a bit clunky, that I need to make sure I minimize/close Pocket Outlook all the time.
