Guest 888 Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 I've just recieved my second Vario 2, and like the first one, th speaker phone distorts, even at the lowest setting. This is especially evident when dialling customer services on 150. Has anyone else experienced this? Are they all like this or am I just unlucky?
Guest jimbouk Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 Can't speak for the Herm300 (V2 variant) but my speakerphone on the Herm100 (M3100 variant) is actually pretty good and pretty clear. Is it just on speakerphone (ie whats the sound quality like when you play music/movies through the speaker (not that it will ever be amazing)?

Guest darrellr Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 Is it just on speakerphone (ie whats the sound quality like when you play music/movies through the speaker (not that it will ever be amazing)? far better - the prob is CS on 150!
Guest philg2000 Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 I find the quality poor on both speakerphone and normal. I got orange to change my phone, but this one is the same. most apparent wheb dialling CS, but too loud to most phone lines.
Guest 888 Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 It has nothing to do with CS on 150, it's just the best way to see if your speaker phone is crud. I made a call on the speaker phone and it is the same, so presumably, it will be the same if i play a mp3 file. Either the speaker is of poor quality or has not been secured properly. Not sure if I should take it back and try a third time. Can;t really be bothered really but will see what the feedback from others is first. Cheers
Guest NikLP Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 My whole handset seems a bit dodgy at times - a lot of my calls are somewhat distorted. Weirdly it seems to be the calls more than the loudspeaker - I've just put some Ozzy through it at full whack and it only distorts in any cringeworthy fashion at Notch 6 and over 85% in WMP, which isn't too bad. Anyway, it's REALLY LOUD!! :D Dunno about the in-call speaker though, it might just be my mates handsets. I spoke to my mrs yesterday on speakerphone and it seemed ok. On-call I had to turn RIGHT down cos it was bloody deafening! :D

My Vario II doesn't distort but the case does resonate quite badly. I found holding my finger against the back case seemed to improved things quite a lot.

Guest NikLP Posted September 4, 2006 Report Posted September 4, 2006 (edited) Looks like a common problem. Mine does the same. *sigh!* started noticing today, ALL my calls are pretty much unlistenable. What should I do? Just got this from O a few days ago? Edit: this is IN CALL and on LOWEST volume, the whole way. Totally unacceptable! Edited September 4, 2006 by NikLP
