Guest gruff101 Posted September 2, 2006 Report Posted September 2, 2006 Since getting my Vario 2 I've found that if I leave the Data connection is left on when the device is put in standby after an hour or two the battery goes flat. Is there anyway of setting the device so when I put the Vario 2 into standby the data connection is automatically switched off? Thanks.
Guest scar06 Posted September 2, 2006 Report Posted September 2, 2006 what i have done is assign a button i.e. the comm manager button jst below the switch button as a running programs button. it allows me check which programs are runnig easily since i dont want the "magic close button". there i can close any programs using the data connection easily.
Guest jimbouk Posted September 2, 2006 Report Posted September 2, 2006 It aint automatic, but pressing and holding the red end call button for three seconds disconnects data (as does pusing the end data button in com manager. Having said that simply having 3g/gprs connected shouldn't affect your battery too much. Are you sure you aren't leaving an app active in the background?
