Guest wesbar Posted September 3, 2006 Report Posted September 3, 2006 After being let down by the poor quality of the supplied headphones and the poor audio quality of A2DP on my Vario 2, I decided to modify the supplied headphones. All you need to do is open up the microphone part, desolder the existing headphones (4 wires) and then solder your own into place (Obviously you need to cut the cord to your desired length first, strip the wires and burn off the filament in the wires with a lighter)). It was really straightforward and only took about 15 minutes. I used a set of headphones off my girlfriends W800 (dont tell her) and the sound quality is amazing now. Seriously, this thing now sounds better than my Ipod which has a set of Shure headphones. The bass is especially great when you use Pocketmusic with X-Bass enabled. :D See pic below.
Guest patp Posted September 4, 2006 Report Posted September 4, 2006 Has anyone figured out what pins the audio is on? Cos these are pretty cheap: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Module...usb&doy=4m9
