If the battery on the Vario II completely runs out will I lose all my data or is the memory stored even with the battery removed?

The bad news, as you've noted, is that you cannot backup through Activesync as you used to be able to... Thanks. Given that my main reason in the past for backing up was to avoid losing data when the battery died then hopefully the persistant memory will be the solution. It does however seem short sighted to not have backup anymore in Activesync.
Guest Palindrome Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 Would something like Sprite Backup be of any use?
Guest freemans Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 Would something like Sprite Backup be of any use? Hi There, Sprite Backup will take a snapshot image of your entire device at the time of the backup, so you will be able to backup and restore your text messages, contacts, applications, emails etc, to your SD card/PC. Its the only backup application at the moment for PPC and Smartphone that is capable of restoring after a rom upgrade or device change. Check out http://www.SpriteSoftware.com for more info, MoDaCo Plus members get Sprite Backup free!
