Guest Magnetic_dud Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 (edited) My sister bought a Motorola E1070. I noticed this on the box :D :D is this phone powered by wm? The internal menus are highly customized by operator... also the user manual (higly customized too) doesn't mention the possibility Activesync doesn't recognize that device. But Motorola's quick start quide mentions a Media Player and the email client, but these functions are not present (removed by my operator) is it possible that initially this phone was a smartphone? With a proper firmware... otherwise, it's illogical that Motorola paid Microsoft the rights. Edited September 5, 2006 by Magnetic_dud
Guest Laser_iCE Posted September 6, 2006 Report Posted September 6, 2006 If my pixelated reading serves me correct, doesn't it say "Design For Windows Mobile"?
Guest mini_man Posted September 6, 2006 Report Posted September 6, 2006 So do all smartphones? So I guess if you found out the specs you could somehow jtag a rom onto to it.
Guest Magnetic_dud Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 jtag a rom? what is it? the screen is 240x320, that is too much for a "simple" phone seems[/] it has a 200mhz cpu, sources are discordant
Guest mini_man Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 To Jtag a rom onto a a device basically means to connect a series of cables to the main board and force a rom onto it.
Guest thenext1 Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 The logo means that it can play Windows Media files. Even my older motorola E1000 could play all of them (better than MP3, in which it was limited to CBR ones). It had got a QVGA screen, too... like E1070, V3x, etc...
