Help! Removing items from 'Programs' in WM5

I recently got the Orange SPV M3100 (HTC Hermes?) running Windows Mobile 5, love the phone, absolutely brilliant, but....

Installed a tetris game from a cab, game didn't work so i uninstalled the game, however when the game installed, instead of installing to the 'Games' folder in 'Programs' it created a new folder in programs called 'Games(1)'. After uninstalling the game the game itself has gone but the folder remains, and I have no idea how to get rid of it!! I've looked through all the folders on the device, done a search for Games(1) and found nothing and searched through the registry for the same but with no avail.

Does anyone know how to fix this?! I really don't wanna have to factory reset just for a stupid folder (its that annoying!)

Many thanks in advance

Oli

I don't have that model, but it should be the same solution as for any Windows device.

In Windows Explorer on your PC, or in whatever file manager you use on the device, go to the Windows folder, and you should find a folder called 'Start Menu'. In there you should find @Programs' and then in that folder should be your unwanted 'Games(1)' folder. You should be able to simply delete it.

The Start Menu basically contains the folder and shortcut structure you see from tapping Start.

Legendary! Thanks so much.

I looked in start menu before but i must have missed that somehow?? I certainly wasnt expecting the directory structure of programs to be inside the start menu folder!

Many thanks :D

No problem!

I have a couple of Windows Mobile devices and I always mess around with the Start Menu folder. You can move shortcuts around, create new folders etc until you have the structure as you want it. It's one of the first things I do when I get a new device, or after a hard reset.
