Guest Pigo Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 JOGGR??? what's that? touch sensitive navigation bar?? what bar? can anyone explain? Pigo
Guest Laser_iCE Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 No idea ... That P3600 would be ideal if it had a sliding QWERTY keyboard... Oh well :D
Guest budadank Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 (edited) JOGGR??? what's that? touch sensitive navigation bar?? what bar? can anyone explain? Pigo If you look closely at the S620/Excalibur picture, you can see an up/down navigation bar which I assume will replace the software side navigation bar (the thing you'd use to scroll down a page). Guess it will just free up more screen space and can be used for other applications too. Will make web page navigation without stylus easier and smoother, which would be very nice indeed. EDIT: Being a Prophet user, I'm actually a bit cheesed off about this announcement. The P3600/Trinity is far better and in very close succession to the prophet. I feel cheated as I will be compelled to upgrade to this one out of my own pocket. Edited September 7, 2006 by budadank
Guest marcol Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 Better picks of the jog strip thing here: http://www.theunwired.net/?itemid=3292
Guest marcol Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 Anyone have any news on which UK operators will be carrying the P3600?
Guest wheelerch Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 Will there be a newer version of the Universal out soon, or have they scrapped it? None of these devices seem to featuer a 640x480 screen, which is the main reason why I bought my Universal... Ideally i'd like a 3G Windows Mobile Device with GPS and 640x480 touch screen... am i asking too much?
Guest mattyduk Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 I though originally, the P3300 didn't have wifi, but now it is listed on the datasheet as well as GPS hurrah :D
Guest LSmith4285 Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 No idea ... That P3600 would be ideal if it had a sliding QWERTY keyboard... Oh well :D Surely it would then be a TyTN?
Guest peekie Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 The following phones are being released in holland under the orange brand HTC Trinity ( spv Trinity ) and the HTC Excalibur ( spv Excalibur ) are due for release the first week of october , it seems also orange have dropped the M and C from their name branding only adding the name spv , also the HTC Oxygen ( spv c100 ) is due this month along with the spv f600 ( which was due in august but delayed due to shipping problems ) , be aware there is no guarantee these models will come to the uk on orange uk or any other uk network seeing as the M3100 will not be released in holland by orange it seems each orange region is picking out the phones it feels fits their own network , the HTC Love will probably come out on both orange and t mobile as it has tomtom a programme that is popular all over europe :D
Guest zen123 Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 I'm really feeling the HTC Artemis. Look uber cool & its got the 2 things that I need most built in GPS & wifi. The processor is a step backwards but I used to have the Wizard & found it perfectly fine for my usage habits. I currently have a SPV M3100 but I'm having endless problems with it.
Guest w411y Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 I've waited long enough for a smartphone upgrade... looks like I may have to go to PPC
Guest Sp00k Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 Great! ... A fresh batch for unsuspecting, unpaid beta-testers! :D
Guest nickcornaglia Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 The Excalibur is tempting....but I think I'll continue to wait for Cingular to roll out 3G in my area. But it is tempting....no....wait...no!
Guest Samsonite Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 (edited) am i the only one who is after the Oxygen?! i understand it was at the Summer Meet... is it a screen comparable to the C500? Edited September 8, 2006 by Samsonite
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 am i the only one who is after the Oxygen?! Yes :D P
Guest nickcornaglia Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 :D Maybe people would understand better if they knew EXACTLY what makes this is a lower end device.
Guest princepavs Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 Yes :D P nope u r not alone dude.... me too like oxygen
Guest Samsonite Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 Yes :D P :D its just that i'm done with the PPC bit for a while.. I want a candy bar but the MTeoR seems to be a bit pants on battery and unlocking etc and that would leave me with a year old model in the shape of the C600/8310 thing. I would have a C600 but its Orange only so i'm hoping that Expansys or someone picks up the Oxygen SIM free or on a bundle or something... ..but thanks for the p!$s-take!!! :D
Guest Perfectionist Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 SWEEEET !!! When will T-mobile release these ?? ..... If only they could squeeze the 3300 & 3600 into one device it would be perfect !!
Guest phunni Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Does anyone know if tomtom navigator 6 will work with the p3600?
