I just bought a t-mobile sda. I unlocked it, upgraded the firmware to qtek, also did the radio upgrade on this phone, I find the phone weak, lots of static with my Plantronic 640. is this phone weak in bluetooth, should I try another rom, should I degrade the radio update and see if that helps? I also used the 640 with other phones with no problem, it works fine with the sda but as soon I put the phone in my jeans pocket, it starts crackling a bit, this is very annoyning. please help.

thanks

I would agree it is a little weak but I can't compare it to much. I have always used whatever HTC has been putting in their phones. As far as I know the Plantronics 640 is the best choice for bluetooth headsets with your phone. So you got that going for you and that is a big part to a good bluetooth experience.

the sda does not have weak bluetooth. i for one had a plantronics earpeice and it was horrible with my phone. i switched back to my scalda and it was perfect. i gave the headset to my roommate who has a samsung on sprint and he also had very crackled/staticy sound.

my plantronic 640 only has issues with sda, the range is good but when i put the phone in my pocket, it crackles but if walk 10 feet away from the sda, it is okay, the problem is sda not the plantronic.

Htc just sucks at bluetooth.
