How do i properly set up email on orange SPV C500 ?

hi there

i used to have it all set up ok on my SPV C500 with an orange.net account , but it just hasn't worked at all for ages.

It's such a usefull function to have whilst I'm in a foreign country as i can send photos and long messages for less than a text/mms message.(anyway, I'm just trying to send/receive emails in the UK most of the time and as i type now too)

Also when sending photo's via email they actually seem to get to the destination point immediatley (not 1-2 months later as with MMS on orange)

Does anyone have a decent guide to set this up (not using the wizard as ive tried this and it deosnt work) as there are things like "username" to input which isnt simply my name? but I seem to remember is a load of random numbers and letters.

all the details form the orange website on how to set up simply do not work! (I am in a covering area)

it comes up connecting, then logging on, then I'm asked to enter my password (which i enter correctly every time), then it comes up connecting again,

then it comes up

"the following errors occured while sending and receiving mail:An error occured while downloading messages. verify that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct and then try again"

so, can anyone help as ORANGE as useless!

I always use the wizard and it usually works first time. The Orange mainframe does sometimes have issues with you logging on so you need to keep trying.

However, I don't see how you can log in without entering your username at some point. :D
