I've been a big fan of Orange mobile chat over the last few months (OK a little sad)

This week I upgraded phones to the gorgeous SPV M3100. What a great phone instead of both my pocket PC & my phone I've one gadget, great!

However much as I try my M3100 will not let me access Orange mobile chat! All it can come up with is

SORRY YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO ENTER THE SERVICE

Can any help, please

:D

Not sure if this is the same problem but....

There appears to be a problem with the M3100 and.or Pocket IE when accessing Orange services that need to know who you are (e.g. MyPage, Orange Finder - and perhaps chat)

These services do not work when the apn in use is "orangewap", they only seem to work with "orangeinternet".

THat would be fine, except for the fact that many GPRS bundles are deemed WAP only (meaning you need to use orangewap apn in order for the transfer to come out of the bundle) and orangeinternet acesss would be chargeable.

I have tried to get answers from Orange CS about this to no avail. Currenty awaiting a reply to my emails to exec office

Interesting info mwright. Can you tell us any more about this or how you found this out? Is there a way of demonstrating this so other members can verify it? It's just that there's been much confusion lately over an Orange unlimited data bundle whose terms and conditions specifically state it is only for wap data. Members have suggested this is incorrect and any data over gprs is included, that they (Orange) can't tell if you're using wap or full internet as they both use data over GPRS. What you say could have implications so worth exploring it...

I always use Orange WAP GPRS purely because I have a stronger leg to stand on if they ever pulled me up about GPRS not being included (I'm on OWU package).

However if this is true, I may switch. I used both last month, and wasn't charged
