Where to store programmes

Just about to start adding some programmes to my Vario. What do you guys do, store them to your phone or storage card?

I am guessing the storage card to keep phone memory free but all advice would be welcome.

Both depending on the program

SPB pocket plus and diary and a few other things are on the phone but most are on the ext rom or storage card especially if they are big in size
