Just read a really interesting article about what we can expect from AKU 3.0 for WM 5.0

a lot of that stuff i really really want WPA2-PSK first and foremost definately!!

any idea when this will be released to the operators (6months a year?? etc etc)

According to Pauls announcement of the Omni the AKU update should be ready pretty imminently

So at least 6 months then to a year oh well. wpa psk will have to do for now.

mind you I don't use wifi anywhere near as much as I thought I would due to hsdpa being so fast. about the only time I use wifi is if I'm downloading a big file 8 mb or more and want it to finish just that bit quicker.

I definitely want some of the bluetooth features they were talking about in that article though.

any thoughts as to what other major changes aku 3.0 would bring to a device like the hermes or links to articles about aku 3.0 ?

ps are we gonna get 2.5 2.6 2.7 first as they don't seem to offer much from that article although bug fixes are always welcome I suppose. just don't want to hard reset often.

There's a AKU 3.2 out as well I believe. AKU 3.0 is pretty nice, at the very least it's a bit prettier and more consistent between the base utils.
