Laptop wifi connection dies after connecting vario II via activesync cable

Hello all,

I have a laptop connected to my router for months and no problems at all.

Vario 2 connects to router no problem (WPA) encryption.

I want to transfer the contacts from Outlook to my contact list on Vario II.

I've installed activesync 4.2 from MS.

WiFi and bluetooth turned off on vario.

As soon as I connect vario to laptop via cable using activesync my wifi connection dies between router and laptop :D

Anyone experienced this??? Any possible solutions???

turn off the advanced usb setting under connections tab in settings.

Ok that's cool I've had that problem. What are you losing by switching this off though?

Its a known issue with Intel Wireless Cards and Activesync 4 and upwards. One way to get it to work is the method that dil quoted. I did some googleing on this and found it has been going on since 4 was released from MS.

The problem is with the Intel software.

You're not wrong, I'm running an Intel Wireless 1450. There ya go then!
