According to this.. the device will not support sms. I hope I am so wrong. I still cant believe a basic functionality like this has been removed. this would totally kill the phone...

this phone (cingular version) seems to be worse and worse the closer the launch date is... no A2DP, no SMS....

question... (I am sure this is a stupid one) but do the 8500 and the i-mate version come with sms? :D

Wow....maybe another typo? Or not...

It's been mentioned before that the 3125 is listed as having double the ROM of the Qtek 8500 etc, now no SMS? Maybe a rom flash to another vendor (eg imate) might cure that. Yet it mentions MMS capability.

I notice the non-camera version is called '3000'.

I am running the 3125 ROM on my Qtek 8500 and yes it has SMS. It is VERY similar to the iMate ROM in that it has ClearVUE suite on it, etc.

I have not missed any calls just like the iMate ROM also.

I do notice however that my SD card is unuseable after a period of time. Rebooting the phone seems to help this although it is very annoying.

Just to be clear...the 3125 has SMS. Rediculous to suggest that it wouldn't.

It certainly does (as well as MMS); got my Cingular 3125 last week.
