Guest Nekora Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 Got my m600 sitting here and it has an annoying hotmail in the messages options, is there a way to remove the hotmail folder? (or even the outlook one?)
Guest Pondrew Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 Hotmail as far as I recall is only integrated into Pocket Outlook by Pocket MSN. If you uninstall Pocket MSN I guess it will take Hotmail with it...

Guest mandt Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 Hi, I found this on the interweb recently: First go to your messaging accounts and make sure you are at the inbox of your text messages (not in the Hotmail or Outlook accounts) then exit the messaging program. It is important to make sure you exit not just minimize. (tmail.ext) Brows to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inbox\Svc Remove the entire key Hotmail This works for the Outlook account too. Simply remove the key Active Sync I used it on my wizard to remove the Hotmail account but haven't tried the Outlook one...

Guest skrabbins Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 Hrmmm ... can this be done on a smartphone? or is that what you're talking about? ... if so what is the proper way of exiting messaging and how do I het to the hive keys? I have a 'file browser' but thats it ;) well i haven't used a smartphone in ages but there is definitely freeware task manager and registry editor software available for it. i guess you will need to use a task manager to close messaging and then edit the registry. i'm glad you resurrected this thread anyway, after installing windows live for push email i was wondering how to remove the outlook folder, and now it's done! sweet as a nut.
