Guest Nixxrite Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 Hi, Can anyone recommend a good/free SMS client I can use to send messages from my desktop through my SPV M3100? It's a real pain tapping a message into the pad when I'm plugged in to the laptop :D Thanks

Look at >THIS POST< for instructions on how to set it up (and what keys to use to control the phone) - the download for all the MS Powertoys can be found >HERE<. Can't get much free-er than that eh?? (Plus, you get a screen capture utility throw in - Alt-Printscreen will copy just the current window to the clipboard, which you can then paste into Paint or whatever!). HTH, Mark.

Cheers Mark, I'll give it a look. I was just gonna link this thread to the sub forum for the Hermes, have to update it now :D
Guest jimbouk Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 or use Jeyo - which syncs your sms's with Outlook, just like your mails. You can type texts in outlook and send them via your phone as long as its plugged in.
Guest chetzy Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 i would use jeyo, i use it myself, excellent product, really easy to use.

HI jimbouk Could Jeyo be used to transfer text messages from old handset to new as I upgrade - M3100 arrives on Tuesday. Thanks Dominic
Guest jimbouk Posted September 17, 2006 Report Posted September 17, 2006 Yes. You sync the device via activesync, go to the Jeyo folder in Outlook and sync your messages. Then activesync the new device and sync them over to that.
