Caught in the rain! - m500 not turning on!

Hi,

I soaked to the bone on the way from work today and so did my m500 :D

When i try turning it on now the power comes on and it makes a "chime" noise but the screen doesnt come on!

is it f*cked?

Is their anything i can do to try and get it to work?

p.s it still seems to synch with my pc oddly?

Make sure you allow the device to FULLY dry out by letting it sit, preferably on a window sill... If you're keen enough to open it up, then go for it, however there is a good chance that the whole phone may not be badword, and that it may just be the screen (as you mention that it still syncs, does it still receive phonecalls?).

well i looked at it this morning and the screen is lit up but everything on it is garbled :D

i guess you are right, the screen is f00ked :D

I'm guessing screen replacement is not an easy task?
