Guest Mr.Clark Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 This is driving me slightly spare... and it's such a silly little niggle. My C600 is called WM_Administrat1. How can I change it? I've gone into the bluetooth settings and renamed it there, but that's not affecting the ActiveSync device name. :D

There is a reg tweak but i cant remember the key n values etc right now Phil
Guest The Doctor Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 (edited) ActiveSync Name Tweak To change the name of your phone for ActiveSync, Go into RegEdit and change the following key, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Ident Select 'Values' Select 'Name' (sometimes there may be two just edit any) Then change the Value Data to the new name for your phone (no spaces) Next time you plug in your phone, ActiveSync should connect as normal, but the name will have changed. There you go :D Phil Edited September 12, 2006 by The Doctor
Guest Mr.Clark Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 Ah! You legend! :D Thanks a bunch! It seems limited at what it can do, as the phone is locked down tighter than a ducks arse, but it did let me change the name, and that all I wanted. Thanks again!
