SDA EDGE/GPRS distinction

ok here's the deal.

i have...

a T-Mobile (US) SDA

w/ $4.99 T-zones plan

& a proxy set up to bypass the wap block

i've got a bluetooth DUN connection; and when i use that, it effectively uses EDGE to connect to the internet.

(or at least i THINK it does, there's no edge icon but its pretty damn fast)

however on my phone, all data uses GPRS

What gives?

As far as I'm concerned, if it doesn't display the EDGE icon, then you're still using GPRS. This is then further backed up if all data on the phone is transfered via GPRS also.
