Guest C++ Developer Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 Warranty service is available from HTCEurope, a different division. http://service.htceurope.com/ Richard I am struggling getting a warranty with my C550. I have the usual joystick problem but also the headset does not work properly. Orange told me that the headset was not supported by them despite it being in the package that Orange supplier when I bought the handset.

Read the terms in the box. Go through the wizard on the HTC webpage and enter 1 symptom at a time. The page will confirm if you are still under the manufacturers warranty based on date of production of the device. If not, you will need your Orange contract dated with the IMEI of the unit on it as proof. Is it your headset or the headset jack that is the issue do you think? Richard
Guest randomelements Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 I had a problem with the headset - the wire was damaged internally. Orange say that the phone/accessories do not form part of the contract with them so you have to go through HTC, but HTC only repair the phone and do not provide spare accessories.
