Hi

if you need parts, look for seller fluffcat1 on ebay.

Screwed up? In what way?

Alot of WM Smartphones have joystick troubles as dust gets under the joystick making the joystick very unresponsive.

You should check for dust using the C600 dismantle guide.

Alot of HTC smartphones have dust problems, never heard of any complaints about non HTC smartphones and dust. My old Typhoon ended up so dusty i could barely read what was on the screen :D

it's not a matter of dust. the phone is only about a month old. the problem started when i spilled coffee all over it. i cleaned it, it worked fine for a while. then it started to not responding to right presses. then down would be enter. so now, as long as i clean it everyday, it works ok. otherwise, i can't go right or down.

sounds like your joystick microswitches dont like the fact you spilt coffee over them :D

pm fluffcat1 and ask if he has any keypad assembleys for the 2125 (SPV C600)

My imate SP5 reacted similarly when I poured lager into it so I took apart the phone (following the instructions on here) and squirted a drop of WD40 into the joystick mechanism.

Since then the phone has been better than when it was new. Much better.

Definitely worth a try.

I think this is a known weakness of these phones. I splashed a very small amount of chili sauce from some Thai food on my 8310/577W, and the joystick almost immediately stopped responding. When I took it to the shop, as soon as I mentioned the problem they said it had probably gotten wet. This was before I mentioned anything about the spill. They thought it would only require cleaning, but it ended up needing a part replaced as something had gotten corroded (or shorted out, this is China and the translation was a little rough).

I have been looking everywhere for a new keypad for my SP5, i found one and bought one last night from ebay.com, the guy apparently can get spares for most phones, here is the link for his ebay shop - i guess you wont lose anything by asking him china mobiles ebay shop

Cheers and good luck in your search
