Guest NikLP Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 Every so often I get a message on the phone where it tries to connect to 3G but it comes up saying "the answering modem has diconnected" and advises me to check my settings. What the hell is going on? I've had this when I've disconnected the unit from activesync usb & bluetooth I think. I can't find an answer to it though, short of soft resetting.

Nobody else has had this?? It must happen practically every time I pull my sync cable out. I've got Agile and a few other apps running mostly when this happens, and they "auto-dial" for 3G (as they've lost the desktop pass-thru), which is when it happens...
Guest windmiller Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 I am having the same issue when I am in certain areas. Still looking for a resolution. I am using UMTS w/ a HTC Hermes.
Guest richard_d Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 Check it's not retaining a ghost proxy after syncing to the PC. Having a separate connection set up for connecting to the PC solves it.
Guest jimbouk Posted December 10, 2006 Report Posted December 10, 2006 Sounds like your network settings are confused. Although every Orange customer would have seen that the other day when their entire data network failed.
