Guest pdtp Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 found this wile i was trolling the forums i applyed it to my Wizard and i noticed an improvement. http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=245577 HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\SWHighPass Value name: CutoffFrequency Default: 700 All frequencies below that value are not used for playback, so all your .mp3's sound weird when played on the speaker. To fix this, lower the value to something like 350-400 [Hz](I personally like 400). Don't overdo this by going too low, as the speaker has a physical limitation. After this tweak, my .mp3's sound noticeably better. Tell me if you also hear the difference.
Guest Brins0 Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 (edited) found this wile i was trolling the forums i applyed it to my Wizard and i noticed an improvement. http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=245577 Does this affect the speaker used for making calls, as well as the ones used for other audio? Also, is this effect global, or only while using certain applications (I assume it's global, coz i'm guessing it's a sound driver related tweak) EDIT: This effect is global, for all applications. Doesn't seem to effect the speaker used for calls... Make sure that you disable any DSP tweaks in "Pocket Player", or the music actually sounds worse :D EDIT 2: May actually have to change it back, I have a lot of bassy songs, an I don't really wanna damage the speakers on a Edited September 15, 2006 by Brins0
