Guest StGeorge Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 Hi Can anyone tell me how to turn the voicemail alert on on my M3100 - I have just realised it isnt working (and I had 14 messages!). I guess I could call OCS as I would have thought it should work out of the box but I really dont fancy spoiling a friday speaking to them!! Thanks in advance Ed

Think it is a bug.
Guest unisoft Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 I have had this problem too. Think it is a bug. To be honest Ive had this problem for years on ORANGE and O2 ! You get no indication of voicemails SOMETIMES and then you ring the answerphone service to be told you have a new voicemail or 2. Think if the networks are busy they dont send the packet to the phone to indicate VM. Pretty sure its not the phone. Make sure you havent frigged with the registry settings!!!! Generally its works fine on Orange/O2 but you do get exceptions.
Guest simonclark123 Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 I used to have this problem. I had to keep phoning Orange to get the Answerphone reset. Then someone at Orange said it was caused when ringing the answerphone by hitting the 'end' key too quickly, without waiting for the answerphone symbol to disappear first! I now follow their advice (ie wait for the answerphone symbol to disappear before ending the call to the answerphone) and have had no problems since. Regards Simon Clark Business Telecoms
