C600 and Activesync 4.2 hangs on Retrieving Settings

Hopefully someone can help, I have upgraded from a C500 to C600 and I am very happy with the phone. Unfortunately I can't get the phone to sync.

I have upgraded the phone with the recent update and uninstalled Activesync and reinstalled.

when I connect the phone activesync opens and then a pop up with retrieving settings appears, then nothing else.

Any idea's ?

Hmmm. How are you conneciting?

If it is USB, try my favourite trick -

Somewhere in Settings / Connections on the C600 you'll see [or something similar] USB to PC. Within here you will find Advanced Connectivity. Uncheck this, and it will end the TCP/IP connection...

May or may not help, but is worth investigating.

The first thing to check is that your firewall isn't blocking the connection.

Thanks for these, I have tried both and no success.

I am connecting via USB but coudn't find any advanced settings.

I have managed to sync with my work laptop which works jut fine.

Any other suggestions :D
