Unfortunatly the tps can be ignored by a company if you have a previous business relationship with them, but it does get rid of most of them and its fun to threaten anyone who does call you with the tps :rolleyes:

More importantly most of the annoying calls originate in India over which this has no authority

Not if you tell them to stop calling you. All companies must respect your privacy. Register with TPS and all cold calls from UK and European based companies (regardless of where the call centre is) should stop (it takes a while as some companies dont update their databases that often). If you get calls from companies who you have a relationship with, tell them you dont want them to call you anymore and they must update their database to reflect that they shouldnt call you.

I have TPS for my mobile and home phones and only get about one call every three months now.

I like to talk with an insulting Indian accent when I get a call from an Indian call center. Or use the creepy white guy voice used by many non-white comedians.
