Hello!

Since about 2 months from now, my Qtek 8310 started to reset the time & date every time I change the SIM-card and I have to set it manually. Before there was no such problem.

Does anyone know a solution for this?

Since I bought my i-mate SP5 from 6 months ago "brand new" it always reset the time and date when the battery was removed for any short time. I thaught it was a downside of these phones.

Can anyone confirm that this is normal or do i have a bad unit and i should get it repaired under warranty?

mine started doin it about 2 months after i bought it. its not the thing htc would do a warranty repair for though, its not faulty or anything. your sp5 has probably just bein sitting on the shelf for a while in a warehouse so there is nothing wrong with it as such.

I just wanted to make sure that it is supposed to remember the date/time.

I'll try my luck with the warranty.

Batteries are normally considered comsumables so it may be unlikely you will get a warranty replacement.

This issue happens with a lot of devices.
