Guest Paul (MVP) Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 CamerAware looks great on it  Man, I can't wait until they release the UMTS / HSDPA version of this! P
Guest The Doctor Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 (edited) Ooooooooo even the box looks sexy :( Are those A2DP headphones in the box? How does it feel in your hand? better/worse than a tornado? And hows the keybaord on it? Phil Edited September 22, 2006 by The Doctor
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 A2DP headphones and BT headset  In the hand it feels GREAT! I've used one before, but I think this is the first production model i've used. The keyboard is awesome, if it was the forthcoming UMTS/HSDPA version, i'd be tempted to use it as my main device! :( P

You had trouble with the hermes and a2dp? Starting to really want one of these now....... i'd still have to use one to be convinced about all these smartphones with qwerty keyboards tho  Phil
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Bad lighting... but gotta say it looks hawt  P
Guest The Doctor Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 If only it had WiFi! Hopefully the UMTS/HSDPA version will have WiFI  And possibly a beefier processor :( Phil
Guest fluffcat1 Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 I *love* the form factor. Had one for a while but being unable to use it in the UK relegates it to my junk pile sadly :-( I've always been a fan of 'proper' keyboards on PDA's, despite 'better' devices being out I used a blueangel until very recently and I doubt my Hermes will supercede my Universal anytime soon as I find both it and my Wizard quite cramped to use. I hope a GSM version 'Q' becomes available after all the will they / won't they about it. I'll be getting the samsung i320 or equivalent when/if orange decide they will/won't be selling it. eXpansys have it for
Guest smeg36 Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 While the Q is a great phone (I had one until recently when I switched carriers), probably one of the best I've used, why did you get one? It seems kind of pointless if you can use the phone. It's nice to see you like it though. I really miss my Q, and can't wait until Sprint gets it. They're supposed to in Dec. The keyboard was probably my favorite of all the QWERTY phones I've had. The only complaint I had was having to use the back button as the backspace as well. I got used to it though. I loved the A2DP on the Q. It was by far the most stable of any device with A2DP I've used, including my PCs. And the screen on it is fabulous. I'm jealous you got the press kit that includes all the goodies Paul.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 I got one because I need a landscape testing device, my contact at Moto promised me a Q, and it's useful too for supporting people on the forums. Press kit is indeed very nice, I opened it and went 'wow' P
Guest fluffcat1 Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Is that a press kit? Doesn't look that special and reminds me of the original box for the Moto Razr when it came out, all big and futuristic.... As to why we Brits with our GSM networks get CDMA devices? Becuase we are saddo's* and want to try the latest devices even if we can't really use them! *Or at least I am  Richard
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Ooh, this box is special... all big n heavy n perspex  P
Guest Gorskar Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Ooh, this box is special... all big n heavy n perspex  P Looks like a nice toy! Still I've got my gadget fix for the time being... (says while fondling new T-Mob Vario II)
Guest scottb Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Enjoy messing around with that Q--I love mine!

There are 25 built up h6315 GSM iPaqs plus approx another 15 in bits.... And there's a video ipod box under those nano's too. You missed the nokia 8810 and 8800 in the top left also? ;-) You're right on the keypad overlays, but which model wizard?...... @Damo86 - Sorry, no Tornado LCD's but due some stuff on wednesday. Dunno what's coming TBH. I order some of everything and then get 25% of what I order. Typical... Richard

Guest fluffcat1 Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 I got the nokias top left  Ahhh, but is it a standard 8800, black 8800 or Scirocco 8800?.... And the wizard keypads are MDA Varios. Despite 'XDA' being synonimous with the device, o2 branded parts are the hardest to get :-( Richard
