Guest simonclark123 Posted September 22, 2006 Report Posted September 22, 2006 Hi I have 2 x M3100, both unlocked to use on T-Mobile Web'n'Walk. Having put in the required t-mobile settings, I successfully managed to get internet access at HSDPA speeds on both. However, recently, every time I attempt to access the internet, although it claims to be connected, both devices simply simply get stuck for ever on 'locating...' or 'opening...' without ever managing to actually download anything. I have spoken to T-Mobile technical support, who have confirmed that I have the right settings. They finally resorted to getting me to do a hard reset; however upon reinserting the required t-mobile settings, I am left with the same problem. Has anybody any ideas how I can get my internet access back? Many thanks Simon Clark

Looks as if t-mobile settings aren't up to much at the moment anyway - it's no use having one/two minute delays when you're trying to sell the devices to clients. Guest simonclark123 Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 Hi Could somebody more technically minded please help me out? I have an M3100 unlocked to use on T-Mobile Web'n'Walk. I have just purchased a modaco plus subscription to try and get it working faster, using the modaco proxy server, as t-mobile seems to have stopped working altogether on my device. I keep trying the settings as per Paul's instructions, but each time all I get when I hit the Web button is 'locating ...' then 'opening..' and nothing happens, although it says it's made the connection. Starting at the beginning, under Settings Connections, which of the below should I use when entering the settings: *Orange World* Add a new modem connection Set up my proxy server Manage existing connections *My Work Network* Add a new modem connection Add a new VPN server connection Set up my proxy server I have no push email issues and a clean device apart from the Orange stuff that's put there on each hard reset I do. Guest simonclark123 Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 I can use Web 'n' Walk on my M500 with no problems However every time I try and use it on the M3100, it hangs on 'opening' or 'locating'. I'm now just trying to make it work on standard t-mobile, not even the modaco proxy. I've made sure that the wifi setting is ok, in case that's interfering with things. One thing I've noticed is that extra characters keep getting added on to my passwords (both in accesspoint and proxy when I try to use that). Any ideas anyone please??? Many thanks Simon Clark
