Dump contacts and sms to mem card. possible?

Hey all

I am in need of dumping my contacts and sms' to my memory card as i have sold my phone. also is there any way i can upload them again to my new sp5?

If your contacts are synced up with Outlook then you don't have to worry about backing them up. As for sms I know I've seen edits that allow you to store sms to your memory card, but I'm not certain that they would be transfered if you did so now.

There are applications available for syncing your SMS to your PC and back again for example Jeyo Extender.

I just picked up a Cingular 2125 and was curious if there is a way to move the contact storage to the SD card permanently? Reason I ask is I have over 4K contacts and it almost fills the onboard storage. Is there a way to map it or move it to the card itself? TIA.
