How long does your Moto Q last on "standby"

I have both the standard battery and extended battery, and after a full change, while phone is off, I turn the phone on, lock the phone, and run 0 applications.

I get no calls or use the phone at all, but check the battery every 8 hours. I get about 1 day of 'standby' type with the default battery. Ridiculous!!! The screen is OFF too.

I bought the extended battery, and I get a whopping 1.5 days!.. again, screen off, bluetooth off, phone on vibrate (but no calls), no apps running, sitting on a desk, phone in lock mode.

Please tell me there is something wrong with this picture. That kinda of standby time makes this phone unusable in my opinion. My 3 year old PDA CLIE even lasts a full week, including FULL USE of it.

I also charged the batteries, let them run dry, charged again, rinse, repeat, and same thing.

The only thing I have in my phone is a 2 gig mini sd-ram stick.

Version tech support so far has been useless. I don't know whether to RMA the phone, just the batteries, or all of it. I'm a couple weeks shy of the return period, which is sad, as I would have sent this POS right back.

They advertise a week of standby time don't they?

What you first need to remember is your Clie isn't constantly maintaining a CDMA phone connection. Even compared to GSM, CDMA standby time will be less. When I had my Q I would charge it every night, but I could get about 1 1/2 days out of the standard battery. The Q uses Li-Ion batteries, which do not need to be run dry and recharged. In fact they are supposed to work better when you don't let them run completely empty. I wouldn't expect amazing battery life out of the Q though. The battery is too slim to keep the device small, and the features of the device (processor, RAM, EVDO radio, CDMA radio, etc) require a lot of power, even when the screen isn't turned on.
