Guest mikeeey Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 one of my pictures that i try to send to one of my friends says "Your message is larger than the sending limit you specified under "MMSC Settings"." and i hav no idea where to find and edit MMSC settings. i looked all over and didnt find it. anyone know where to find this?
Guest slimgym Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 It's somewhere in these forums, requires the registry to be edited. When I tried it though, I had a message which was only just over the limit, my service provider (O2 UK) then woudn't accept the message as it was too large!

Guest slimgym Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 (edited) I found it here [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\UI\SizeLimit] "SendCount"-> Setting how Many "Sending Size limitations" listed in DropDown Listed .. "SendDefault"=dword:00019000 -> Setting the Default Send Limitation "SendLimit1"=dword:0000C800 -> Send Limit one can be change ex. 50K=dword:0000C800 "SendLimit2"=dword:00019000 -> Send Limit two can be change ex. 100K=dword:00019000 "SendLimit3"=dword:0003E800 -> Send Limit three can be change ex. 250K=dword:00003E800 It sets the size limit for the three available options through the UI. I have the phone set to its finest setting and I guess with some images they might get above 250kb if it can't compress them too much. If you just want to change the size allowed to one of the above options, you can find it within the MMSC settings START > SETTINGS > CONNECTIONS > GPRS then pick the MMSC you use. Guest slimgym Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 cool. now will this effect the uploading and sending and make it not work? Sorry, not a clue. I changed mine to a larger setting to try send a picture that was bigger than the limit, then the SP rejected it, so I put the limit back, figuring that HTC had set the limit at whatever limit the SP's normally put in.
